MUNAWARA PROJECT AQSA

Al-Aqsa - Temple Mount - Jerusalem, Pale

Al-Aqsa Masjid

Palestinians are facing one of the world's longest running illegal and inhumane military occupations in modern history. They face restrictions on movement, arbitrary arrests and numerous checkpoints in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, limiting their access to basic amenities.

In the Gaza Strip, livelihoods and essential services have been decimated by years of siege and people are denied many of their basic rights, including clean water, affordable healthcare, education and employment.

There are now up to five generations of Palestinians facing refugeehood in Palestine (their own land) and neighbouring refugee camps, in some of the most densely populated areas in the world.

We are continuing to advocate, raise awareness and support those helping the most vulnerable across the occupied territories, Lebanon and Jordan.

We are committed to supporting Palestinian civilians – working alongside trusted international charities to provide immediate relief to the victims of this ongoing brutal Israeli assault. The funds raised will go towards providing essential items such as food, water, clothing, sanitation and medical supplies to Palestinian victims. We are also working towards providing temporary shelter for those who have lost their homes and eventually rebuilding their homes when this illegal occupation comes to an end.

We urge all humanitarians to stand with the people of Gaza and the West bank in these trying times. Your donations, no matter how small, can make a significant difference to the lives of these victims who have suffered for far too long.

As death tolls rise and acts of genocide are being committed against the Palestinian population, the very least that we should be doing is speaking up against oppression and ensuring that victims of such inhumane brutality never lose faith in almighty Allah (God) and never lose hope in humanity.

MUNAWARA PROJECT GAZA

Gaza Rubble Rescue.JPG

Heartbreaking violence is shattering Gaza. The people of Gaza are trapped, enduring immense suffering and loss as a result of the relentless attacks.

Efforts to call attention to the plight of Palestinians is stifled, while no world leader is stopping the aggressor’s merciless brutality.

Lives are being torn apart by relentless attacks, and innocent families are left with nowhere to escape.

In these devastating times, let’s stand united to provide immediate, life-saving aid to those bearing the brunt of the aggression. Your generosity can help deliver essential supplies like food, water, and medical care directly to those in dire need.

Let’s extend our hands in solidarity, offering hope and urgent relief to the people of Gaza in their darkest hours.

We support the provision of emergency relief to Palestinian civilians and victims of one of the world's worst political occupations in history. The people of Gaza are trapped in the world's most densely populated concentration camp consisting of over 2.5 million Palestinian civilians, with over half of this figure being children under the age of 14 years old.

Over 1.4 million Palestinians are in Israel’s cross-hairs, as the IOF begin their assault on Rafah – after Israel designated the city a ‘safe place’ for Palestinian civilians fleeing constant Israeli bombing across other parts of Gaza.

Munawara Education supports the 31 charities calling on UK leaders to finally step up and act in accordance with international and humanitarian law to stop Israel’s plausible genocide that the US and UK have both been fully complicit in aiding and abetting this illegal occupation from the very beginning since 1934. The following is the joint statement by the charities:

The UK Government has repeatedly asked Israel not to unleash a slaughter in Rafah, Gaza.

Foreign Secretary, Lord Cameron is “very concerned about what is happening in Rafah” and knows “it is impossible to fight a war amongst all these people. There is nowhere for them to go.”

Deputy Foreign Secretary, Andrew Mitchell thinks that “an Israeli incursion will struggle to be compliant with international law,”

Middle East Minister, Lord Ahmad said that “the fighting must stop now, in order to get the hostages home.”

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister acknowledges that “Too many innocent civilians have died in Gaza,”

David Cameron also asked Israel for a ‘Plan B’ for Rafah to ensure “people can achieve safety, get food, medicine and water, and that people are kept safe.”

They have been ignored by Israel.

Yesterday, the Israeli military issued relocation orders to people sheltering in parts of Rafah, the first step towards a full-scale invasion that will most likely kill thousands of civilians. The area people are being directed to is already overstretched and lacks the capacity and resources to accommodate the number of people seeking refuge. The relocation orders lack guarantees of safety and the right to return, which risk violating International law.

Israel has intensely bombed Rafah, including civilian homes / tent camps and areas marked as safe. This morning, Israeli tanks entered the Rafah border crossing with Egypt, blocking completely the passage for people and humanitarian aid. There are no safe spaces in Gaza. Israel has repeatedly attacked so-called ‘safe zones’, killing displaced people. Any claims from Israel that civilians can be safely relocated have no credibility.

The failure of our leaders to back words with meaningful action is glaring. As the 1.4 million people in Rafah face attacks that our leaders know would be catastrophic, they all MUST act to stop the slaughter. It's their obligation as elected leaders after all, unless of course they are indeed serving their own selfish inhumane agendas for which they were most certainly not elected by the people for.

The UK must work urgently to stop any further assault on Rafah from going ahead, demand an immediate lasting ceasefire, resume funding to UNRWA, and suspend arms sales to Israel for as long as there is a risk they may be used to violate international law.

A permanent ceasefire is the only way to stop the death and destruction, get more aid to those who desperately need it, and safely release the hostages. There is no Plan B for the people in Rafah.

The people of Gaza are trapped. The attacks are relentless. The aggression is brutal.

While the world turns a blind eye to the reality of what is currently happening, what will you do?
