Peace and blessings be upon you all.
In the Name of Allahﷻالله, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

The basic principle of Monotheism التوحيد pronounced "Al-Tawhid" is the belief in one God - The One and only Creator of the heavens and the earth and everything else in between. Scholars agree that the three known and widely accepted monotheistic religions include Judaism, Christianity and Islam. All three religions believe that one Supreme Entity (God) exists, who created every single living creature and element that has ever come to existence since the dawn of time.
Although, all (if not most) Islamic scholars would rightly argue that Islamic Monotheism is more of a way of life and that it has always existed as a Fitrah الفطرة (meaning one's original disposition and innate nature) since the very creation of time itself. The Holy Qur'an, which is the final unchanged and learned testimony of Allahﷻالله (God) that was sent down to His final messenger Muhammedﷺ; clearly explains the reason and purpose behind our very existence and how everything came to pass prior to the creation of the first ever human being - Adam (peace be upon him).
The first half of the first pillar of Islamic Monotheism - the Shahada الشهادة - is the declaration of monotheism itself and the total belief in the oneness of Allahﷻالله (God) above all else, without associating any partners unto Him.
Allahﷻالله (God) is far above any form of association or analogy. Heﷻ is the Most Wise, Most Gracious, Most Merciful, Knower of all things that were, are and will come to be.
